Our Client Testimonials
I am more than satisfied with my maternity and newborn photographs. Natalie and Nick made us feel really comfortable during each of our sessions and they gave us clear instructions for the poses. They were professional and I felt comfortable. This allowed me to really relax and enjoy the photo session, and I think this ease was reflected in the final photos. Our photo package included digital copies of all the images from our sessions, so I didn’t have to choose a set number of images to keep. The whole maternity photo shoot was fun, and I’ll have these phenomenal photos to remind me of my pregnancy, and the myriad of emotions I felt throughout the experience. I would recommend Natalie Roberson Photography for anyone considering maternity photography in the area.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your photographs will look best if you are comfortable and feel beautiful in your outfit. Choose a simple dress, sweater, or jumper that shows your “bump” and makes you feel beautiful. Sometimes a high waistband will give you the “look” of a waist right above the “baby bump”. Most photographs look best if you choose a white, pastel, or light color without a bold pattern. Don’t choose clothing that will distract the eye from the beauty of your maternity figure. Also, try to choose classic styles that will look good years from now when trends have changed. Your makeup, nails, and jewelry should never steal the show. Keep them classic and subtle so that you look and feel beautiful and they also do not distract from the mood of the photograph.
Another idea to save you money is to rent a dress for your maternity photo shoot. If you search online you’ll see many options for renting the ideal maternity dress for your shoot. For instance, mamabumprentals , minefornine , renttherunway, and labellebump all have wonderful options.
Texas is a huge state and has so much diverse topography from sunny coastlines, flat grazing land, to rough mountainous terrain and from small towns to huge cities. Pictures are very personal and maternity photos are particularly effective in conveying the love that a mother has for her unborn child, the hope and future bright with caring. Photo locations should reflect the mother’s joy, and the background should complement and not overwhelm the precious subject matter. You might choose to use your own nursery as a backdrop, your Texas team spirit, your favorite market, the arms of your partner, a beautiful field full of flowers or sunshine, different angles, underwater, surrounded by puppies, being hugged by your older children…the possibilities for maternity photo shoots in Texas are as enormous as your imagination. In our studio, we can replicate your dream background. Discuss the possibilities with us!
Bring a sonogram picture, small newborn shoes, anything that is special to you or your family that you want to capture in the portrait. For family pictures: wear complimentary colors – you do not need to be matchy-matchy, but the colors need to go nicely with each other. Accessorize by wearing jewelry, scarves, or layers of clothing. For in-studio portraits: mom’s are welcome to wear any of our maternity gowns. They come in various colors/fabrics/sizes. Take a look at our Maternity Photography Pinterest Board for some other ideas about what to wear.
As an experienced maternity photographer in Texas areas like Frisco, Prosper, McKinney and Celina we have the compassion to capture the beauty and complexity of your pregnancy in one simple photograph.
