We have a huge selection of props, backgrounds, bows, wraps, outfits, bowls and chairs to utilize during your session. It is not necessary for you to bring anything at all, however, if there is something of sentimental value you’d like included, we are happy to try and incorporate that during your session.

Parents can relax in our contemporary newborn parent room while we are photographing their newborn baby portraits. Parents are able to view the newborn studio room from the newborn parent suite for safety and peace of mind. Parents can watch TV, take a nap, read a book or get some work done on their laptops! We have coffee, cokes and snacks for the little ones! Parents can be as involved in this process as they want to be!

Our trained hair and make-up specialist is one of the best in the industry. She specializes in bringing out all of your best features through a variety of looks to make your session a real makeover experience.

Bring a few options for wardrobe. Watch out for: wrinkled shirts, missing buttons, crinkled collars, dangling bra straps and even minor makeup stains (it shows up on camera). Simplicity is key for our newborn portraits: the focus in your portrait should be squarely on your family, not your clothes. Busy patterns and large, distracting jewelry are a no-go. Any solid, primary or neutral color. You know what looks best on you: pick colors that bring out your eyes and compliment your skin tone. Stay away from white (which can wash you out) and black (which can give the illusion of absorbing light from the rest of the photo). For baby: diapers, wipes, warm blanket, swaddle blanket, binky, bottle, formula or breast milk. Take a look at our Newborn Photography Pinterest board for some other ideas about what to wear.

Scheduling your session 2-3 months in advance is preferred but not required. In order to capture the best photos, we try to get you into our studio within the first 10 days after birth. We work Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Appointments are required. Our calendar tends to fill up quickly, so please check with us regarding our availability.

It is our goal to create custom art for the walls of your home, and our pre-session consultation appointments will help us understand what our goal is during your session. Each session is custom tailored to fit the products we discuss during the pre-session consultations. This insures that we spend the right time the thing during your portrait session. Each of our clients is unique and our products aren’t just photos on your walls or in your albums, they are your legacy. Clients typically invest anywhere from $500 to $5,000 in products. Custom portrait collections begin around $900, but most clients love what we do and choose to invest more.
